X Factor runner-up Marcus Collins is now single
‘There was damp
in the bedroom, which we were trying to get fixed, and the kitchen was
in the front room,’ Marcus, 23, tells Now’s Dan Wootton.
‘I had a good life as a hairdresser, but I couldn’t afford to pay my rent or car insurance.
‘I’d live on noodles some weeks because the fridge was so bare! I had nothing.’
Marcus and David‘s relationship survived the hard times but now they’ve broken up.
‘He wants to move to LA to work and I’m finding a place to rent in London,’ Marcus explains.
‘I know he’ll always be in my life and time will tell what’ll happen between us in the long-term.
‘David supported me throughout my X Factor journey and didn’t get jealous or want the attention himself.’
Now that Marcus is single, have any celebrities tried it on with him?
‘Gok Wan! We were out having drinks – my hairdresser is his good friend – but I politely declined. He’s a lovely guy, though.’
Marcus‘s debut single Seven Nation Army and his self-titled debut album are out now.
