Vicky has come in for some flack over her presenting skills

Vicky Pattison admits she’s been left downhearted by the backlash she’s received since joining I’m A Celebrity spin-off show Extra Camp as a presenter.

The reality star has come under fire for various reasons during her time on the show, from getting the programme’s name wrong to her natural tendency to swing her jaw, and recently confessed that it had left her wanting to give up.

Not only that but she also faced drama surrounding her personal life when ex-boyfriend Jordan Wright hit out at her, claiming that she’d started seeing her new man John Noble just a day after she’d ended things with him. Vicky’s reps went on to say that her romance with Jordan hadn’t been ‘serious’.

‘I feel a bit like giving up with all these paps & terrible press,’ Vicky, 29, told her Twitter followers last week.

‘It’s as though they’ve all decided to hate me & there’s nothing I can do’

But thankfully the feisty Geordie Shore gal we know and love is back on form and determined to fight her corner – go, Vicky!

The Newcastle lass sent her defiant message out on Wednesday when she replied to a friend who Tweeted that Vicky was ‘a bundle of fun’ and ‘great motivator’.

‘Thanks mal… It certainly got me down for abit,’ Vicky answered back. ‘but now I just think they can bore off!’

That’s the spirit, Ms Pattison! Vicky’s fans have also encouraged her to bounce back from the backlash, with one admirer commenting: ‘Ah Vick you’re not a quitter babe! Head up you’re an amazing beautiful person inside and out. Stay positive babe’

Meanwhile another Tweeted: ‘I think you are doing great and a credit to your friends and family. Ignore it as best you can. They will get bored soon xx’

Celebrity friends have also stood up for Vicky, including her co-presenter Stacey Solomon.

‘This lady @VickyPattison is an unbelievably strong, independent funny caring lady & I’m lucky to call her my friend! Haters gonna hate!’ Stacey posted about her new pal. Awww.

Vicky has certainly got plenty of love and has thanked everyone who’s got behind her in a sweet message on Instagram.

She posted: ‘The overwhelming amount of support I’ve received from my friends, family and the amazing network of people on social media has made me realise that I can’t allow a couple negative articles, some sordid sold stories or bitter lies from people affect who I am and what I want to achieve…
