Khloe Kardashian's ex remains in hospital and is said to be struggling with his recovery

Nearly two months after his shock collapse at a legal brothel, Lamar Odom continues his fight to recover in hospital with support from estranged wife Khloe Kardashian.

But sadly the latest reports about his condition offer a heartbreaking picture of his current situation. The 36-year-old is said to be struggling to get better and even forgets his own name sometimes.

Has Lamar Odom affected Khloe’s baby plans?

‘He’s not doing great,’ an insider tells Entertainment Tonight. ‘His speech is still slurred and he can barely walk on his own yet.

‘He forgets a lot of people’s names – sometimes even his own. He definitely has some memory loss.’

Former basketball player Lamar was found unconscious following a reported alcohol and drugs binge nearly two months ago and has fought to recover ever since.

He remains at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles and fortunately has Khloé, 31, supporting him throughout it all along with her famous family.

‘They all pop in to see him in hospital, including Khloé,’ the source says.

Apparently Lamar could soon be moved to a rehab facility closer to Khloé’s home as, despite his recovery being slow, there are some small promising signs.

A source tells Us Weekly: ‘He actually gets a little better every day.

‘He talks a bit more each day and walks with a walker but still has trouble processing his thoughts. It’s very slow but little by little.’

Khloé put her divorce from Lamar Odom on hold to be involved in making medical decisions following his collapse and continues to visit him on a regular basis.

The reality star – who is dating basketball star James Harden – recently opened up about the seriousness of Lamar’s condition.

‘His kidneys are recovered and all of his organs are pretty much recovered. It’s more his brain is still affected and physically he has to learn how to walk again and he is learning how to feed himself again,’ she confessed.

‘All those normal things we take for granted every day and it’s a really long road and it’s going to take a long time.’
