The actress plans to start a family with Scott Sinclair

Helen Flanagan has concerns about having a daughter.

The ex-Coronation Street star hopes to start a family with footballer boyfriend Scott Sinclair in the near future and thinks a son might be easiest for their first child.

‘I wouldn’t care if I had a boy or a girl as long as they were healthy,’ says Helen, 23.

‘I would worry more if I had a little girl, because I’m quite headstrong. And if she was like me it would probably be a nightmare!

‘So I think a little boy to start off with.’

If the couple were to have a girl Helen would instil strong ‘girl power’ values in her.

‘When I have a daughter I will definitely bring her up like that,’ the actress says.

‘Women really have to be independent.’
