Coronation Street star needs looking after

Helen Flanagan has admitted her mum often resorts to checking her Twitter page to see what she’s up to.

The former Coronation Street actress relies on her mother Julia Flanagan, 54, to help her stay on track.

‘Because I am working such a lot, and I also suffer from Attention Deficit Disorder, she helps me keep organised,’ says Helen, 23.

‘Sometimes I ask her to clean the house or pick up train tickets. She stalks me on Twitter as well if she wants to find out what I’m doing.’

Helen, who was recently criticised for appearing to support pro-anorexia messages, knows how the negative attention she receives might upset her family.

‘I understand why Mum worries,’ the I’m A Celebrity star tells S Magazine.

‘I wouldn’t have chosen for my daughter to go down this path. When you’re called a blonde bimbo, it can cripple your confidence. Not that I feel sorry for myself.

‘But Mum always gives me advice and makes me feel better.’
