Davina McCall says she does not want to look younger than her age – but admits she hasn’t ruled out plastic surgery.

TV presenter Davina McCall, who now hosts Long Lost Family, has admitted that she has not ruled out plastic surgery in the future. In a new interview she says: ‘I guess I’m a bit vain and want to look nice. I don’t want to try to look 35, I just want to look really good for 47.’

But Davina adds in the interview with Woman & Home: ‘I won’t be pious and say I’ll never have cosmetic surgery. I sometimes do that thing of standing in front of the mirror, pulling the skin on my face taut and I look about 10 years younger so who knows? I might disappear to France for a shifty two-week ‘holiday’ when I’m 60.’

The TV presenter sparked a bit of a furore from fans when she appeared to claim recently that women should keep husbands satisfied in the bedroom even if they’re exhausted otherwise they will stray.

Opening up about her secrets to a strong marriage with husband of 16 years Matthew Robertson Davina revealed it’s all about keeping things hot in the bedroom.

‘Matthew has strong views on underwear,’ she told the Telegraph, adding that he hates stuff to be plain.

‘You must keep your husband satisfied in the bedroom department,’ she added, ‘even if you’re absolutely exhausted. Otherwise he will go somewhere else,’ she said.

But after the backlash Davina wrote a blog to explain what she really meant.

She began by writing: ‘Argggghhhhhh! I’ve got myself in a controversy!!!! In the paper this weekend I talked about a couple of things that I would like to explain further…

‘So I thought I would tell you in my own words what I mean.”

The star originally told the newspaper she likes to only wear matching underwear, taking inspiration from French women, but has now clarified that while she does like matching up, it’s for HER not her hubby.

Davina added: ‘If I want to feel hot and sexy I wear nice undies… if I’m at work, and for practicality, I wear really boring ones… but always matching.’

The star then went on to clarify her comments about needing to satisfy your hubby in the bedroom.

She wrote: ‘I do not submit to my husband, nor does he submit to me. My mum said, to keep your man happy, stay intimate.

“Sometimes, especially when the kids were very young and I was super tired, this was the last thing on my mind… has he ever coerced or pressured me? NO!!!

“But have I ever started feeling tired and finished feeling very happy? Yes!! Can’t really believe I am discussing this…”

She goes on: ‘And every single woman I know feels the same. Really what my mum was saying, and I also believe, is that if intimacy goes, for months, or a year, then it’s super hard to get back and it becomes ‘a thing’.

‘I love Matthew… and neither of us want that to happen… so we work at it! Together…’ Blimey .. we’d like to say TMI to this Davina but we love that you have shared so much!

Davina McCall is RIGHT. You do need to have ‘maintenance sex’ to keep your man
