Katie Price reckons she wouldn't have had such a positive reaction from doing Robbie Williams-style labour videos
As all Katie Price fans know, she has no problem sharing her opinions. And it didn’t take long for her to speak out about the latest gossip on the grapevine: Robbie Williams‘ controversial live vlogging of wife Ayda‘s labour.
Robbie posted videos of him serenading his spouse with his own songs (our highlight being his dancing rendition of Candy, after which he says ‘Turn it off, she’s not going to be any fun’ …Err, because she’s in labour?) and covering Let It Go from film Frozen, as she puffed through her contractions in an LA hospital.
But Katie is as unimpressed with Robbie‘s efforts as his other half Ayda seemed.
‘Robbie‘s wife didn’t look too happy,’ said the 36-year-old model. ‘I wouldn’t do it. If I’d done something like that I don’t think people would have reacted so positively. They never do.’
So you didn’t just let Robbie entertain you then, Pricey? (Sorry).
Although we loved watching the vids of Robbie‘s stunts, we do kind of feel sorry for wife, Ayda.
Intense contractions? Check.
Really long labour? Check.
Loads of pain? Check.
Supportive husband by her side? …Well, he’s kind of busy singing songs from Disney films at the mo.
But who isn’t a sucker for Robbie‘s cheeky charm?
Still, it was great viewing as an outsider and Robbie did add that ‘everything we’ve done has been a bit of a laugh and it’s helped Ayda get through and take her mind off the thing’.
Hmm, we hope so, Rob!
What do you think? Did Robbie Williams take it too far?
Do you agree with Katie Price that Ayda didn’t appreciate it?
And would you ever, EVER let your birthing partner live blog your labour?
