One Direction star Louis Tomlinson confirms he is expecting a baby in live TV interview
The 23-year-old singer has described the shock pregnancy as ‘a very exciting time’ and says he is ‘buzzing’ about the impending arrival.
Louis has remained close-lipped about the subject since news broke three weeks ago that he was expecting the first 1D baby with LA-based stylist Briana Jungwirth.
But the boyband member has now spoken for the first time on the topic.
During an appearance by the 1D boys on US TV show Good Morning America, host Michael Strahan said: ‘Louis, from one father to another I want to congratulate you on your upcoming fatherhood. So how are you feeling?’
Cue fans everywhere waiting for Louis’ response with bated breath – and it was short but sweet.
“Thank you. Obviously it’s a very exciting time, so I’m buzzing. Thank you,” he said.

The confirmation of the pregnancy straight from the daddy-to-be’s mouth left some Directioners feeling blue, with one writing on Twitter: ‘I feel so heart broken about Louis confirmation’.
Another appeared to still be in denial, tweeting: ‘”Don’t believe anything until Louis confirms” *Louis confirms* “Don’t believe anything until the baby is born”‘.
Meanwhile, other fans finally accepted the unexpected news, with one fan account posting: ‘If Louis is happy then I’m happy for him. We’ll keep supporting him no matter what till the end’.
Louis’ comments come just one day after bandmate Liam Payne broke the band’s silence by revealing he was ‘shocked’ when he heard the news.
Speaking on Magic Radio, Liam said: ‘Well, obviously I was a bit shocked but he’s taken super well to it.’
He added: ‘He’s very excited with what’s going on with him at the moment and I feel that stuff like that happens sometimes. He’s taking it very seriously.’
