The actor has had a 'mad year'

Jamie Dornan has become quite adept at tying up women – but he’s ready to stop now.

The Irish star admits he’s been doing lots of rope work with ladies thanks to raunchy flick Fifty Shades Of Grey – as S&M fan Christian Grey – and in BBC drama The Fall, in which he plays a serial killer who tethers his victims.

There are a couple of classic knots I know now,’ says Jamie, 31.

And I’ve put them to good use far too many times recently. In fact I’d like to do a job where I don’t have to tie women to beds.’

Jamie is clearly ready for a breather after a hectic 12 months – not only has he been filming constantly but he also welcomed his first child, a little girl, with wife Amelia Warner in November.

I’m tired, I’m tired,’ the actor tells The Guardian.

[It’s been a] mad year, professionally, personally.

Right now I don’t need to work if there’s nothing that I want to do. I’ve done three jobs back to back. Let’s see how they are received.

If there’s nothing I want to do, I’ll just play golf and change nappies.’
