MTV bosses have reportedly ditched the reality star from appearing on the show
Jeremy McConnell has faced some pretty turbulent times in his love life over the last year, which is exactly why MTV bosses were desperate to sign him up to this year’s Ex On The Beach.
However after the Irish model was arrested following allegations he assaulted former girlfriend Stephanie Davis, Jez has reportedly been dropped from the show’s line-up.
According to The Sun the programme bosses ‘had no choice’ but to axe the CBB star following accusations that he had assaulted the mother of his baby son Caben-Albi, as a source revealed: ‘MTV bosses wanted to get Jeremy onboard for years and finally managed to sign him up.
‘But his legal troubles have left them no choice but to axe him from the cast. The show will now go ahead without him.’
The news comes after it was revealed that dad-of-one Jez was questioned by police earlier this month following an alleged altercation with Steph.
A police spokeswoman previously confirmed to The Sun: ‘Following a report of an assault at an address in (Liverpool), a man has this morning (March 16) been arrested.
‘A 27-year-old man from Liverpool city centre has been arrested on suspicion of assault and criminal damage after voluntarily attending a police station on Merseyside. He remains in police custody for questioning.’
Following his arrest former Hollyoaks actress, Steph has broken her silence over the allegations claiming she ‘still loves him’.
‘I hope he comes back the person I fell in love with.’
However a representative for 27-year-old Jez denied the allegations, releasing a statement to The Sun which read: ‘Jeremy denies any wrong doing, however he is fully cooperating with the police in their investigations.’
Let’s hope the parents sort things out soon.
