Katie Piper thinks she’ll be more fearless than ever now she’s a mum.

The inspirational star – who was the victim of an acid attack that left her with horrific burns in 2008 – hopes to set a good example for baby Belle which in turn will help her too.

‘I don’t ever want my past to taint my daughter’s present or future,’ says Katie, 30.

‘I want her to be confident and resilient and to get out there in the world and make the most of every opportunity.

‘I want her to see that the only limitations put on us are by ourselves and that we can achieve anything.

‘I think being a mum will be good for me in that respect too, because it will help me to be consistently confident.

‘I don’t want to show fear and anxiety around my daughter, I want her to be strong, so that will be positive for both of us.’

Katie, who welcomed Belle in March with carpenter boyfriend James, feels more content than ever and wants her daughter to experience the same feeling.

‘Most of all, I want her to be happy,’ the new mum tells Hello!

‘I thought I knew, after all that happened to me, what happiness meant, but having Belle has shown me what true fulfilment is.

‘Being a mum is the best, the absolute ultimate and I’m so thankful that I’ve got to experience such bliss.’
