It was a difficult birth

Kerry Katona revealed that her daughter DJ nearly DIED during a complication during her birth.

The Atomic Kitten singer already suffered a difficult labour when she gave birth to their child Dylan Jorge. But after the complications with DJ, Kerry admits that her and husband George Kay struggled to have time alone — and that helped lead to the breakdown of her marriage.

Speaking to OK! Magazine, the singer said: ‘When DJ was born, she nearly died. The doctors had to revive her when she came out. I was losing loads and loads of blood, my placenta burst and had to be removed.

‘After that, finding time for ourselves was really difficult.’

But despite the traumatic birth, Kerry Katona is not put off from having another child. Just not yet.

The mum-of-five added: ‘I would like another child. I’ve always said I want six kids, but I’m not ready yet.

‘We’ve got five kids already and it’s hard to get time alone. Can you imagine bringing another one into the mix? I’m giving my marriage a go and no one can criticise me, this is what we want.’

The pair called time on their relationship in October 2015. She filed an assault charge against him at their home, but the charges were dropped. In an interview soon after his arrest, she told the Loose Women panel:

‘I’m still madly in love with George. I’m still married to him. But sometimes things have got to come to an end. And that’s that really.’

But now they’re back together and ready to give it another go. We wish Kerry all the best.
