Police confirm an incident took place in which a man attacked a woman and was in possession of a taser
Kerry Katona has been putting on a brave face after it was reported that her husband George Kay was ARRESTED for assaulting her.
Police in Sussex confirmed that an incident had taken place in which a 35-year-old man was in possession of a taser and had left a woman with bruising.
‘On Saturday police were called to an address in Gorsedene Close, Crowborough, after a report that a woman had been assaulted,’ a spokeswoman says.
‘A 35-year-old man was arrested at the address on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm to a 35-year old woman, and of unlawful possession of a Taser.
‘The woman had sustained bruising to her face and arms.’
Sources tell The Sun that more than one call was made to police and raised voices were heard during the incident on Saturday.
It’s also reported that the couple had had an altercation earlier in the day.
George was apparently found in bushes near their home and after his arrest was released on police bail until 24 October.
A spokesman for Kerry declined to comment when approached by the Mirror.
The Atomic Kitten star – who married George last September – seemed in good spirits on social media last night and appeared to be sending out a message that her children come first.
Kerry is mum to Molly, 13, and Lilly-Sue, 12, from her marriage to Brian McFadden and Heidi, 8, and Max, 7, with second husband Mark Croft, as well as 17-month-old Dylan-Jorge with George.
All of the children were present for a family meal and Kerry was keen to capture the moment.
‘My world xxxxx,’ the TV star wrote.
She also posted a sweet video last night showing DJ and Lilly-Sue dancing to Let It Go from Frozen.
The news of George’s arrest comes just a month after the couple admitted George’s battle with Bell’s Palsy – which causes temporary paralysis in facial muscles – led to arguments over the summer.
To come to terms with his condition, George moved out of the house so he could ‘get back to being George’ but returned shortly afterwards and he and Kerry decided their marriage was ‘worth fighting for’.
