Kerry Katona has denied recent reports that she is trying for a sixth child with her husband George Kay.

The TV star and tabloid frequenter has spoken out after various sources claimed that she and newly-reunited partner George were hoping to mend issues in their relationship with another baby – but apparently, the ‘news’ comes from a non-existent source, and Kerry isn’t looking at expanding their family any time soon.

Kerry and George have one child together – two-year-old Dylan-Jorge – as well as Kerry’s four from previous marriages. ‘George is desperate for another baby and would really like a boy,’ a source told Closer magazine earlier this week. ‘Kerry would also love to have more children and is keen to do anything to please George.

‘Her friends don’t think Kerry is thinking straight and have suggested she and George have some quality time to get their relationship back on track.’

However, the 36-year-old mum-of-five has taken to social media to clear up the rumours herself.

‘Just to make it very very very clear I am not trying for another baby, nor will I until my Financial situation is in a better place!’ she Tweeted on Wednesday morning – hinting that although there are no baby plans for the near future, she’s not ruled it out completely.

She then added her opinion on the use of children to strengthen a relationship: ‘I also don’t think having a baby2fix a relationship would be the right reason2have a baby!So these so called CLOSE friends are non existence’ (sic).

However, Kerry hasn’t confirmed – and makes it clear that she’d never bring a child into the world to ‘try and keep a man’:
