It's a twist none of us saw coming but it looks like its happening in season 6 of Game of Thrones... Ned Stark is back people!
*Game of Thrones theme song*
Well, well, well… if we’ve learnt one thing from Game of Thrones it’s that absolutely anything can happen and absolutely anything is also possible (including erm.. incest, but thats another matter). Alas, Ned Stark is to rise from the dead!
Okay, okay… we understand this is a very difficutly prospect for you to process- the poor man was decapitated after all. But the upcoming appearance of Ned does not feature the Sean Bean version of the character (sans head), but rather a young Ned who will be projected through a series of flashbacks according to a close source on the show. Crikey…
And who shall play this rather unexpected but altogether highly exciting role?! A young chap named Sebastian Croft.
At the tender young age of thirteen, we’re pretty sure young Sebastian is unlikely to crumble under the pressure of the massive GoT franchise- he already has PLENTY of acting experience, starring in West End productions of Matilda, Les Miserables and Coriolanus, as well as the leading role in a national tour of the musical Oliver! (meanwhile we’re still working out exactly what is is we’re going to do with our lives…).
As exciting as this GoT revelation is, the more invested fans of the show had already clocked this forthcoming twist ages ago. A casting call issued back in May in preparation for season six described a ‘7 year old boy with dark brown hair, a narrow face and green eyes. He also has a Northern accent. This role is similarly open-ended, the description only stating that the character is being ‘introduced’- a description Sebastian definitely fits (go on and treat yourself, have a lil’ google).
So with all that being said, we can’t flipping wait to see what tales of Stark woe these flashbacks will bring to Season 6!
