The couple share news on how Noah is doing
The couple dropped their schedules and have been supporting the three-year-old boy since he was diagnosed with liver cancer in November, but thankfully Luisana has shared some very positive news about his condition.
‘Thank God, my son is well,’ Luisana, 29, said at a press conference in Argentina on Tuesday.
The model and actress – who also has son Elias, 1, with Michael – also discussed how the upsetting turn of events had led her to re-evaluate things.
‘When things like those that happened to us occur, your take on life changes,’ she explained.
‘It happened to us. Now I value life much more, the now and the today.
‘I would like to thank people for their support, for the prayers they said, for their love.
‘And I want them to know that they reached us and that it helped us a lot to come through this.’
Luisana and Michael, 41, are obviously overjoyed that Noah has responded well to treatment but Luisana admits it’s still a very tough subject to discuss.
‘It’s difficult for me to speak about this, it’s very recent and I’m still a bit sensitive about the subject,’ she said at the event.
The mum-of-two was speaking at a press conference for her new movie which she had previously halted work on when Noah received his diagnosis.
She’s now returned to work and credits her son’s progress with encouraging her to do so, though she admits that he still has tests ahead of him.
‘My son’s recovery is a long process as you all know and he has to continue with check-ups,’ Luisana explained.
‘But we are very happy. We are looking forward to thinking about the future, to seeing our children grow.
‘Seeing Noah grow and being happy gave me the strength to return and finish this film.’
This marks the first time that Michael and Luisana have directly given an update on Noah’s health since February, when a message shared on Michael’s Facebook page revealed that their son was ‘progressing well’ through treatment.
The family have been inundated with supportive messages from fans throughout and here at Now we send our love and best wishes.
