Former Corrie star Michelle Keegan is rumoured to follow in husband Mark Wright’s footsteps and go on Strictly Come Dancing
We love Strictly Come Dancing. The sparkles, the sequins, the Sambas. And when Mark Wright was on it, with his tendency to whack out doing The Worm – a classic – we couldn’t get enough of the cheeky chappy, and now it seems that his wife could be following in the Essex boy’s footsteps.
Former Corrie star Michelle Keegan’s been highly rumoured to be waltzing onto the BBC dance show, and she dropped a big ol’ hint that things may be heading to the dance floor as she revealed that she’s got something really exciting coming up.
‘We’ve got something in the pipeline for the beginning of Autumn but I can’t say too much because nothing’s been signed yet. I can say though that it’s something really exciting.’
No names have been confirmed to take part on show yet, but Michelle’s not only highly rumoured to be a contestant, but she’s already a favourite to be a dancing queen and win the show – blimey!
The 28-year-old has had a pretty hectic schedule since she left Coronation Street, with her own range at Lipsy, landing a role in the critically acclaimed drama Ordinary Lies and most recently confirming that she’ll be taking over the lead role in Our Girl from Lacey Turner. Phew – we got tired just writing about that!
Mich’s 28-year-old hubby Mark Wright came forth on the BBC One dancing competition, where professional dancer Karen Hauer was his partner, which she has said before was quite difficult to sit back and watch Wrighty doing a Waltz.
‘It was so horrible watching Mark!’
She even dismissed any speculation of her shaking her booty on the show saying that her other half was a much more confident person: ‘I remember seeing how nervous he was and thinking, ‘If he’s like that, I just couldn’t do it.’’
Maybe she’s had a change of heart since her wedding dance with a Strictly graduate!
