But the actress, who had left Albert Square, regrets pushing herself so hard to slim down.
‘It’s not like there were offers on the table or lots of scripts to read, I did it for the money,’ Natalie, 27, has admitted.
‘I wanted to shed the Sonia image, but it was a mistake.
‘It made me have an issue with food which I never had before.’
Although Natalie enjoyed making the DVD at the time, her determination to stay slender soon collapsed.
‘When I lost the support of the trainer and the people I was working with I struggled,’ Natalie told The People.
Now a new mum, she is comfortable with her post-baby curves.
‘I am happy being the way I am,’ she says.
