After Tom Bleasby decided to quit the X Factor, Nick Grimshaw has bought back Mason Noise for judges houses

Earlier this week, X Factor contestant Tom Bleasby quit the show after he decided he wasn’t ‘vocally ready’.

Since then, we’re all been on ththe edge of our seats – well, not really – wondering what mentor of the boys group, Nick Grimshaw, was going to do with the judges houses being filmed at the end of this week.

On Thursday morning on his Radio 1 Breakfast Show, 31-year-old Nick announced that he is bringing back controversial contestant Mason Noise back. You know. The guy who Simon Cowell called an ‘ar*ehole’. Yep – that one.

Grimmy was talking about whether he would go to judges houses with just five boys or if he would bring an old contestant from the six chair challenge back into the mix.

‘It had to be Mason.’

While others may be shocked by his choice, Nick said that he thought Mason was just ‘exciting.’

And as to whether big boss Simon Cowell approves of his choice? ‘I don’t – I haven’t – I mean…sure…why not.’

Oh no. We don’t think Simon’s going to be a happy bunny.

And it’s not just Simon who isn’t a big fan of Mason, as One Direciton’s Louis Tomlinson has also blasted the singer’s behaviour on the show.

‘I think his argument was pretty pathetic. What is stupid about that is that he was ruined the opportunity for himself.’

Now, Mason’s back and Louis is, of course, Simon’s celebrity guest at judges houses – majorly awkwarddddd.

Nick said that ‘after Tom decided to leave the show, Mason was the person I wanted to bring back.’

‘Yes he was difficult at the Six Chair Challenge, but people with an artistic temperament can be difficult. He’s talented and in previous auditions excited us judges. Sometimes a challenge is interesting.’

Mason has welcomed this opportunity with open arms: ‘I appreciate Nick inviting me back on the show. And even more so, I appreciate the fact he understands what I am trying to achieve…challenge accepted!’

Although Nick knows that Simon might kick off, he feels he’s made the right choice: ‘People do kick off – but if you kick off and you’re not talented, you’d be out the door. But he can really, really sing and he’s a performer and entertainer, and for me as a judge, he is someone who knows who they are.’

Talking about how Mason’s got ‘an idea of who he wants to be’,  as opposed to just being someone who wants to be on the ol’ tellybox, Nick rang Mason last night to tell him the good news.

‘The phone call went good. I said: “Let’s not talk about what happened – it happened. Let’s just get on with it. Let’s have no more of that and let’s focus on the music.’

Wise words Grimmy.

Eek! We’re looking forward to what’s gonna happen…
