Poor Georgia has been hit by a mystery illness - just as the Strictly semi-final approaches

Georgia May Foote faced her biggest challenge on Strictly Come Dancing so far last weekend when she fought through the dance-off – but now she’s got an even bigger obstacle to overcome.

The 24-year-old star is feeling under the weather and hinted in an upsetting Tweet yesterday that she fears she’ll be too poorly to perform this weekend. Nooo!

Get well soon, Georgia! It’s unclear what the actress’s mystery ailment is but let’s hope she recovers quickly.

This weekend is an important one for the Strictly stars as it’s only the flippin’ semi-final, so the five remaining celebrities are edging ever closer to scooping that Glitter Ball trophy.

Hopefully Georgia will be feeling much perkier when she sees all the sweet messages she’s received from fans after posting her sad revelation.

‘aww sweetie no! I hope you get better soon, sending all my love and hugs your way, love you lots! #getwellsoongeorgia x,’ one admirer wrote.

Another told the former Coronation Street star: ‘Fingers crossed for u Georgia! U will be fine for Saturday x’ We hope so!

It comes after Georgia’s dance partner Giovanni Pernice revealed that he and Georgia have been working seriously hard in rehearsals.

Each couple have to perform two dances on Saturday night’s show so team GG have done lots of preparation for their Viennese Waltz and Cha Cha routines.

Georgia and Giovanni will be especially keen to do well following their experience of the dance-off last week.

Viewers and the judges were stunned when the couple ended up in the bottom two, despite getting a high score for their Beauty And The Beast-themed dance, but luckily they made it through.

We just hope that Georgia is well enough to strut her stuff in the semi-final this weekend. *crosses fingers and sends lots of love*
