The show is famed for its relationship dramas
Strictly Come Dancing has become notorious for the so-called ‘Strictly curse’ over the years, which has reputedly been the cause of several relationship break-ups.
Rachel herself was linked to the supposed ‘curse’ as her marriage to former husband Jamie Gilbert ended following her time on the show, though she always stressed that it had nothing to do with Strictly and she didn’t start dating Pasha until the year after the series.
Now their romance is stronger than ever and 36-year-old Pasha – who’s paired with BBC Breakfast host Naga Munchetty this year – knows it won’t be broken by the programme.
‘Nothing could come between with what we have,’ the Russian star says.
‘I don’t even think about things like that. I don’t want to be with anyone else.’
Awww. Pasha certainly has some touching words for Rachel, 30, and it’s clear that they’re still totally loved-up.
‘Rachel is incredible,’ he tells The Mirror. ‘She is the most beautiful woman in the world.’
How cute is that? The couple have been looking smitten recently during their outings together and looked super swish at the GQ Awards earlier this week.
In the years since he danced with Rachel, Pasha has been paired with Caroline Flack – who scooped the glitter ball trophy – and Carol Kirkwood.
Now he’s hitting rehearsals with Naga and Rachel is being very supportive of them.
The Countdown presenter wrote on Twitter after their pairing was announced: ‘Congratulations @BBCNaga you are in the most wonderful of hands! @PashaKovalev Hope you’ve got your blister plasters ready!!’
Over the years several contestants’ relationship woes have been linked to the ‘Strictly curse’.
Last year Georgia May Foote split from actor boyfriend Sean Ward shortly after the final and then went on to date dancer partner Giovanni Pernice, though they recently called it quits.
