Shamed singer will sign sex offenders' register
Gary Glitter will arrive back in the UK next week, following his release from a Vietnamese prison.
The convicted paedophile is expected to be met by police on Tuesday and taken in for questioning.
He will be required to sign the sex offenders’ register and provide the address of where he plans to stay.
‘Police booked his ticket from Ho Chi Minh City to London and I have already paid for his ticket on his behalf,’ Gary’s lawyer Le Thanh Kinh tells the Daily Mirror.
‘He’s a British citizen, Vietnam want him to go back to the UK. After he lands in London, he is free to go wherever he wants.’
Gary, 64, served 27 months for committing obscene acts with 2 local girls, aged 10 and 11.
Nine years ago, the singer, real name Paul Gadd, was jailed in the UK for possession of child pornography. He served just 2 months.
