The former Emmerdale actress looks incredible

Former Emmerdale actress, Lisa Riley has often spoken out about her incredible weight loss journey after she revealed she’d managed to drop an impressive 10 stone last year.

But now the 40-year-old has shocked fans with her latest throwback snap after she took to Instagram on Saturday (18th March) to post an amazing before and after photo – and you won’t BELIEVE how different she looks.

Uploading the pic of herself at her biggest, the star may look happy as she leans on a sports car, but it turns out not even Lisa recognises the person she used to be as the she captioned the shot: ‘Sometimes it hits me,TRULY don’t recognise the person in the other photo, feel proud of choices I was ALLOWED to make,decided to make change.’

How amazing is that?

And it wasn’t just Lisa who couldn’t believe the transformation, as some of her 108k followers were quick praise the actress for all her hard work, as one wrote: ‘Well done ! I’d forgotten how big you were ! you should be proud of your achievements and these can only benefit your health too x’, and another commented: ‘You look fab …… go girl x‘.

A third replied: ‘Wow Lisa! I only recognize you from your dimples! Saying “well done” doesn’t even begin to give you congregations deserved‘, and a fourth added: ‘This is incredible in every way. Inspirational stuff, Lisa – and the positivity it has had on you *radiated* out on stage!’

Lisa, who played Mandy Dingle in the ITV soap, famously dropped from a size 30 to an impressive size 14 last year and credits her achievement to ‘honesty, dedication, eating really well, exercise, no booze and a good a head space’.

The Loose Women panellist has recently opened up about undergoing an operation to get rid of hanging skin caused by her extraordinary weight loss.

Appearing on the show in February the star admitted: ‘People have judged me and said what they want to say but excuse the pun, I’ve become thick skinned.

‘I’ve got to go into this with my eyes wide open but I’m petrified about it, look I’m shaking, about going under the anaesthetic.’

Luckily he operation went without a glitch and Lisa recently returned to the show revealing she had no regrets about going under the knife, telling Ruth Langsford, Katie Price, Stacey Solomon and Jane Moore: ‘Surprisingly I feel great. Obviously the pain can be really bad at times, especially the abdominal part. But one thing is for sure, was it worth it? 100%. I can take the pain relief.’
