Bookmaker Paddy Power wants to see Zayn Malik and Calvin Harris take their fight off social media and into the boxing ring in the name of charity

Zayn Malik‘s Twitter tirade at Calvin Harris yesterday sent the Internet into overdrive, but bookmakers Paddy Power want to see the pair take their fight offline and into the boxing ring.

It all started when Zayn retweeted a post (that he’s now deleted) that highlighted the different attitudes of Miley Cyrus and Calvin‘s girlfriend Taylor Swift to the music business – Taylor is famously opposed to streaming services like Spotify for not paying artists a fair wage, while Miley’s take was: ‘I’ve made my money, I don’t care if nobody buys my album.’

Calvin jumped in to defend Taylor, tweeting: ‘You’ve made your money?…F**k 99% of musicians who depend on these services to survive?’

Cue an exchange of angry words between the pair, with both accusing the other of not understanding their point of view. To help sort out their differences, Paddy Power is offering a whopping £50,000 charity donation of the winner’s choice if the two battle it out in a boxing match.

The odds are high, too – Zayn is currently at 3/1 to win what the bookies are dubbing ‘Celeb Fight Of The Century’, while the odds are even greater at 2/1 for Taylor to sing her boyfriend into the ring. It’s all getting a bit dramatic, isn’t it?

Paddy Power also reckons Calvin’s new muscles – which he showed off in a revealing Armani shoot – might come in handy if he took on Zayn.

‘The odds might be against the gritty Glaswegian, but if his Armani shoot is anything to go by then this fight might be heading in one direction. C’mon lads, do it for charity!’ they said.

Despite deleting the tweets, Zayn has pointedly left one online calling Calvin a ‘d**khead’ – sounds like fighting talk to us!
