Strictly dancers have tweeted their approval of Peter Andre's fancy footwork
We all did a little squeal when Peter Andre was announced for this year’s Strictly Come Dancing (although we are slightly worried about who’s going to cook Emily MacDonagh‘s dinner while he’s away) and according to the professional dancers on the show, he’s showing some promising moves already.
Last night, Pete shared with his Twitter followers that he’d had a ‘great day’ at his first rehearsal. He admitted he was nervous when he first signed up to Strictly, writing on Instagram ‘Please wish me luck, I’m nervous :)’ so we’re glad to hear that the first day wasn’t as scary as he thought it might be.
And it wasn’t just Pete who was pleased with his efforts – professional Strictly dancer Gleb Savchenko also tweeted his approval, saying Pete was ‘killing it’ already.
He also asked the question we’re all wondering ourselves with the hashtag #luckygirlwhowillgethim – just WHO will be paired with Pete?
One thing we know is that it won’t be Joanne Clifton. She partnered with Scott Mills last year, but has moved on to presenting duties alongside Zoe Ball on Strictly’s sister show It Takes Two this year.
She seemed to have been watching the rehearsals, though, and tweeted her verdict on Pete’s dancing, as well as Jeremy Vine’s socks, Ainsley Harriott‘s wriggling and the fact that she ‘held’ Jay McGuinness while he put on his dancing shows. Oh Jay, surely you’ve learned to tie your laces by now?
Is she throwing in a Titanic reference there? Well, if Pete’s dancing makes her feel like she’s on a sinking ship while snogging Leonardo DiCaprio, he must be doing something right!
