As her baby continues to grow, Helen Flanagan tells Instagram fans about her new regime
Helen Flanagan might have been craving burger and chips recently but she’s determined to eat healthily for the rest of her pregnancy.
The former Coronation Street actress – who is expecting her first child with footballer boyfriend Scott Sinclair in June – shared photos of her snacks with Instagram fans on Tuesday and revealed that she’s going on a special diet devised for mums-to-be.
‘Healthy snacks @iammelwells 💞 starting my green goddess pregnancy plan ☺️💕,’ Helen, 24, captioned the photo.
In the picture are a packet of mango pieces, some wholefood bars and a box of seeds, nuts and dried fruits.
The Green Goddess programme is run by food coach and former Hollyoaks star Mel Wells, who is clearly happy about helping Helen to eat well during her pregnancy.
‘Excited to work with @helenflanagan1 for a second round this time for gorgeous mummy and gorgeous glowing baby! 💚,’ Mel posted on Twitter, causing Helen to reply: ‘me too ❤️x’
After stocking up on snacks, Helen indulged in a nourishing meal later on in the day and posted a snap on Instagram.
‘Healthy dinner #eggscookedverywell x 💞,’ she told her followers.
It’s taken Helen a while to get her appetite back after she suffered from terrible morning sickness during the first few months of being pregnant.
Luckily she found that it started to ease off last month but she had another unwelcome moment of nausea on Wednesday morning.
‘Throwing my breakfast up this morning isn’t the one… I think it’s because I’m tired today 😴xx,’ the poorly star Tweeted.
Poor Helen! Luckily fellow pregnant star Catherine Tyldesley was on hand to check on Hels.
‘@helenflanagan1 Awww babe 🙁 you still taking a good probiotic? X,’ she asked her former Corrie co-star.
It sounds like Helen is on the mend though. She replied to heavily preggers Catherine: ‘@Cath_Tyldesley I think it’s just a one off today xx getting excited for you not long 😬😬😍x’
