In a final bid at independence, Prince William's fiancée Kate Middleton is snubbing Xmas with the in-laws

Kate Middleton has told Prince William she won’t be celebrating Christmas with his loved ones at Sandringham.

As her folks won’t be able to attend the Queen’s festive get-together due to Royal protocol, the 28-year-old has decided to spend the holidays at her family’s home in Berkshire instead.

‘It’s tradition that Royal fiancées spend Christmas at Sandringham,’ a source tells Now.

‘But William is working [for the RAF] and Kate didn’t want to be alone with the Royal Family.

‘In-laws aren’t invited to Sandringham, which means that until she can call the shots as Queen, this is her last chance to share Christmas with her folks.’

Wills, 28, is currently on-call as a search and rescue helicopter pilot in the RAF and traditionally it’s the single or engaged men who work Christmas Day to allow the married men the day off.
