As Brooklyn makes a host of new famous friends at New York Fashion Week, David Beckham shows how he feels about it
Brooklyn Beckham has been catching up to his slightly well-known mum and dad’s levels of fame for quite some time now but this week he’s suddenly become HUGE. Like, HUGE.
The 16-year-old appears to be the toast of New York Fashion Week, having been snapped at some of the event’s hottest shows, and he’s made about a million new celeb friends along the way too.
But how does dad David Beckham, 40, feel about all of this, you ask? Well it’s funny you should mention it as Brooklyn has gone and shared the ex-footballer’s reaction to his eldest child’s fame with his Instagram fans and it’s pretty hilare.
The teenager posted a selfie of him and David yesterday and cheekily wrote: ‘Dads not happy about me being cooler than him’
Brooklyn emphasises his coolness by folding his arms and wearing his cap backwards (when did this come back into fashion, btw?) whilst gazing at the camera with a soulful look on his face.
Meanwhile David appears to be eyeing his son from the side as he models a beanie hat and gives a little smile. Awww, these two.
Personally we think that the elder Beckham is just as cool as his son (soz, Brooklyn) and many of the family’s fans feel the same.
‘Ahaha you are both so cool ❤,’ one commented on the sweet snap, whilst another joked: ‘Instagram wars with @brooklynbeckham & @davidbeckham, this will only end in tears!’
We hope not! Even though we think Brooklyn and David Beckham are on a par in the coolness stakes, Brooklyn has certainly proved himself to be a bit of an A-lister this week.
He’s been snapped looking totally at ease with starry mates including actress Liv Tyler, Liv’s rocker dad Steve Tyler, model Frankie Rayder, fashion designer Ralph Lauren AND singer Selena Gomez. Phew, and breath.
But it’s good to know that, for all his coolness, Brooklyn is still a family boy at heart. He spent some quality time with mum Victoria whilst she worked on her NYFW presentation over the weekend and even did a bit of photography at a fashion shoot for her label.
Okay, Brooklyn, you’re officially cool – but never forget that David Beckham was cool first!
