Star says he felt too old
Seems age has a way of catching up on all of us.
Poor old Johnny Depp, 43, says he felt uncomfortable sharing a snog with co-star Keira Knightley, 22, in Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest – because of the 21-year age gap between them.
‘The smooches are always so awkward, especially because Keira and I have never been in that kind of situation together,’ he explains.
‘Plus, she’s three and I’m a thousand. We’ve known each other for a few years and suddenly it was, “Are you ready for this?” And you just do it. It becomes more like a stunt in a way. She was a great sport about it.’
In fact, Keira’s rumoured to have begged director Gore Verbinski to add the kiss between Jack Sparrow and her character Elizabeth Swan, and afterwards described the experience as ‘Good. Really good.’
That wouldn’t surprise us – it is Johnny Depp, after all!
