'Good news? Yes!'

It’s been an anxious eight-week waiting game for former Beverly Hills, 90210 star Shannen Doherty, 46, who completed her final rounds of treatment for breast cancer in February.

Just last month she was tested to see if she could be given the all-clear and, instead of sitting at home waiting for the results, Shannen has been doing the things she loves in order to battle the disease full throttle.

And we’re delighted that
all her cancer ‘slaying’ has
paid off, as the brave star took
to Instagram last week to announce she’s now in remission. She uploaded a picture
of herself sat on the floor with her legs crossed, head
bowed, and shared: ‘Moments. They happen. Today was and is a moment. What does remission mean? I heard that word and have no idea how to react. Good news? YES. Overwhelming. YES. Now more waiting.’

She’s endured a roller-coaster ride since her breast cancer diagnosis in February 2015,
but she refused to let it get the better of her – living life to the fullest with her husband Kurt Iswarienko, 42, while regularly updating her
920k Instagram followers on her emotional journey.

But news of Shannen’s remission hasn’t made her rush to pull the party poppers just yet, as her hardest fight
is about to begin.

Her post continued: ‘As every single one of my fellow cancer family knows, the next five years is crucial. Reoccurrences happen all the time. Many of you have shared that very story with me. So with a heart that is certainly lighter, I wait.’

Last August, Shannen, who’s left unable to have children, revealed her cancer had spread to her lymph nodes, despite already having a single mastectomy. But while she prepares to take her next step – a decision over several bouts of reconstruction surgery and whether to take medication
for the next five years, risking potential side-effects – she’s breathed a sigh of relief.

Shannen concluded: ‘I am
blessed, I know that. But for now…. remission. I’m going to just breathe. #cancerslayer’.

We wish her well on starting
her new chapter…
