Shilpa Shetty speaks out about BB ordeal
Shilpa Shetty says she’s forgiven the Big Brother bullies who made her time in the house hell.
And even though watching video tapes of the foul scenes upset the Bollywood star, she says she doesn’t think the verbal attacks by Jade Goody, Jo O’Meara and Danielle Lloyd were motivated by racism.
‘I didn’t know all that had gone on,’ she told the Daily Mirror when she watched the footage for the first time. ‘They are so mean. Why didn’t someone stop them? It hurts me deeply.
‘Watching this now, I can understand why people complained so much. It isn’t just one or two attacks – it’s incessant. I still can’t figure out what I did wrong.’
But the 31-year-old remained as dignified as she did when the rows happened inside the house.
‘What those girls did to me was wrong but I would not like to say they are racist,’ she says. ‘I forgive them because I must.
‘We are all human beings, we all make mistakes. I make plenty of them. What is said is in the past and I don’t want to dwell on it because it is too horrid.’
