The Beatles legend is expected to perform at the reception

Sir Paul McCartney has been tipped to perform at the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

The Beatles legend, 68, has reportedly been asked by the couple because they think his music will appeal to all the guests, including the Queen.

William and Kate have chosen their wedding list and Paul McCartney is their No 1 choice to perform,’ says one of Macca‘s friends.

‘They can’t think of anyone more perfect to kick off proceedings.’

The couple – both 28 – will marry in a lavish ceremony in Westminster Abbey on April 29.

Sir Paul is likely to perform at the private reception to be held at Buckingham Palace after the service.

‘He has been asked to do a few numbers,’ the source tells the Sun, ‘and he said he feels very privileged.’

But a Palace spokesman says: ‘None if it has been finalised’.
