Oh Stephen, Stephen Fry. Let us count the ways we love thee…

In six memes.

Now‘s love affair with all things Fry started way back when.

It developed further when we met him (clang, name drop) at the National Television Awards in two-thousand-and-something…

Then last week, following THIS video interview, it blossomed into FULL BLOWN LOVE.

Love that warrants a whole #Hashtag dedicated to the fabulously creative, witty and sharp funnyman that is Stephen Fry.

So, Happy Fryday all. And talking of love, let’s have a scroll down Stephen’s meme-ory lane…

THE WORLD ACCORDING TO STEPHEN FRY – These memes may just get you through life:

1] Stephen on ageing (and going to the loo)…

Steve says: ‘I don’t need you to remind me of my age. I have a bladder to do that for me.’

Meaning: Lying about your age is utterly acceptable. Hire an assistant, call him ‘Bladder’

2] Stephen on s*^&%&%g (s^&&%t he’s marvellous)

Steve says: ‘It would be impossible to imagine going through life without swearing and without enjoying swearing.’

Meaning: Swearing is cool, if anything it’s f*&&%g sophisticated.
Sorry Mum.

3] Stephen on love (… LOVE)

Steve says: ‘Love is that secure feeling of being part of two, not being one anymore. I’m now a unit of two people, as opposed to a unit of one.’

Meaning: Stephen’s been listening to track 3 on the Spice Girls Greatest Hits album. [Err, insert something profound about unit-ing here]

4] Stephen (and his fish) on happiness #FishyFrydays

Steve says: ‘Stop feeling sorry for yourself and you will be happy.’

Meaning: Keep a PMA! Postive Mental Attitudes are the way forward. Surround yourself with fellow PMAs too if you can. Researchers at Harvard University found that each additional ‘happy’ friend increases a person’s probability of being happy by 9%.

But yeah, what Stephen said.

If in doubt, eat fish and chips – it is Fryday after all. Cripes, this one is deeper than the sea itself.

5] Stephen on being a Brit abroad

Steve Says: ‘A cut glass English accent can fool unsuspecting Americans into detecting a brilliance that isn’t there.’

Meaning: Americans love us. They Ameri-can’t help themselves.

DON’T question it (DO pretend you’re Kate Middleton and/or Prince Harry when abroad).

6] Stephen on the best brand out there (Gahhh! Hello *heartsplode*)

Steve says: My favourite magazine? Now magazine of course! Are there any others?!’

Meaning: *Blushes* Ah shucks

#HappyFryday one and all!
