See Carol Wright's touching tribute to her mum, Nanny Pat, after the TOWIE legend passed away on Wednesday
Brokenhearted Carol Wright has paid an emotional tribute to her mum, Nanny Pat, who passed away yesterday.
The TOWIE star called her mum her ‘best friend’ in a touching post on her Twitter page.
‘So sad to see mummy leave us she was an amazing kind loving person who cared for everyone she was my best friend 💔💔💔’ Carol wrote.
Alongside her post, she shared a lovely montage of moments showing Nanny Pat – real name Patricia Brooker – alongside beloved family members including granddaughter Jess Wright and Carol herself.
The tear-jerking post quickly racked up over six thousand likes, with fans sending messages of support to Mark Wright‘s mum.
‘Thinking of you all. So many happy memories, not just for you, for all of us too
#LittleLegend,’ one wrote.
Another added: ‘Sending you so much love Carol! The bond you & Pat had was so special x’
Carol’s lovely words come after son Mark posted his own personal tribute to his nan yesterday.
Shortly after news of Nanny Pat’s passing was announced, Mark wrote on Twitter: ‘My heart is broken but so overwhelmed by your support. To know good ole Nanny was loved by so many is the best feeling in the world Thankyou’
Meanwhile, Mark’s wife Michelle Keegan simply posted: ‘Heaven gained an angel today ❤️’
The Wright family announced Nanny Pat’s death via a short statement on Wednesday morning.
‘Sadly our amazing, courageous and beautiful Nanny Pat passed away this morning after a short illness,’ it read.
‘We are overwhelmed by sadness, and the whole family ask for privacy at this horrible time.’
Her death came just a month after the TV star celebrated her 80th birthday on screen in TOWIE, where she was joined by family and friends at a royal wedding-themed party.
The ITVBe show paid tribute to magnificent matriarch by dedicating Wednesday’s Christmas special to her, with a message that read ‘In Loving Memory: Patricia Joan Brooker ‘Nanny Pat’, 1935-2015′ alongside a picture of her.
