One Direction fans are LOVING this
Liam Payne might have an exciting future ahead but he’s been feeling a bit nostalgic this week.
The singer – who is working on solo material after One Direction went on hiatus earlier this year – took a moment to reflect on the anniversary of 1D’s first album release on Friday and seemed quite emotional about it.
Liam, 23, posted on Twitter: ‘#5YearsOfUpAllNight Our first album together will always be a special moment that I will remember forever!’
A photo of the Up All Night album cover appears next to Liam’s Tweet and the boys sure look young!
Directions are thrilled that Liam has remembered the momentous occasion and many have shared their celebrations with him.
‘OHMYGOSH LIAM YOU REMEMBERED! Time flies so fast and I am so proud of you lot,’ one admirer commented.
Another added: ‘this journey has been incredibile! Can’t wait to see what you’re up to now; best of luck Liam, we’re so deeply proud of you!’
Liam – who is so far the only member of One Direction to acknowledge the anniversary – has certainly come a long way since those days.
Up All Night was released when he was just 18, a year after the band were put together as teenagers on The X Factor.
They’ve since gone on to become one of the biggest acts in the world and now Liam has got some very exciting plans of his own ahead.
Not only is he set to release his solo music in the not too distant future but he’s also found love with girlfriend Cheryl, a relationship which became public back in February.
In recent months the couple have faced speculation that 33-year-old Chezza could be pregnant with her first child, but neither have commented on the rumours.
Whatever the situation is, it looks like 2017 is going to be a big year for Liam!
