Original supermodel Cindy Crawford appears alongside Tatjana Patitz, Nadja Auermann, Karen Alexander and Helena Christensen in a reunion shoot - and they all look better than ever
Forget tired TV shows or boybands you’d forgotten ever existed, because this is one 90s reunion we can totally get on board with!
Members of the original supermodel elite including Cindy Crawford have reunited for an extra special shoot, twenty-five years after first making a name for themselves.
Original super Cindy shared a picture from the shoot in question on Instagram today that took us right back to the 90s glory days.
The snap featured long-legged Cindy alongside fellow 90s supermodels Tatjana Patitz, Nadja Auermann, Karen Alexander and Helena Christensen.
Pictured on a sunny beach, all five beautiful women are dressed in white robes, with Helena’s falling open to reveal just a hint of a lacy black bodysuit.
Cindy and Helena are also seen clutching takeout Starbucks coffee cups – early morning wake-up call, ladies?
Cindy captioned the shot taken by noted fashion photographer Peter Lindbergh: ‘The reunion! #BTS with @therealpeterlindbergh. Director’s cut video up on @nowness today…More to come.’
Lindbergh got the group of famously beautiful faces together as part of a shoot for online video channel Nowness, with the legendary snapper also taking to Instagram to share behind the scenes shots.
A beautiful black and white snap showing the five beauties with another original supermodel, Eva Herzigova, illustrates how the women are just as stunning as they were when they first made waves back in the 1990s.
Speaking in the video, Cindy says of Lindbergh: ‘The thing that makes working with Peter memorable is his energy. He loves women and that really comes across. He really sees the beauty in a mature woman.’
It was Lindbergh who first helped usher in the age of the supermodel when he shot Cindy and Tatjana alongside Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington for the now-iconic January 1990 cover of Vogue.
And they only thing we’re bummed about with his latest shoot is that Naomi, Linda and Christy – along with fellow 90s super Kate Moss – don’t feature – but hey, five original supermodels are better than no supermodels, right?
