We'll have that $2million if you don't want it, Taylor!
Another day, another Taylor Swift moment that will melt your heart a bit. Whether she’s baking cakes for her fans or being all loved-up on Instagram with her boyf Calvin Harris, Taylor knows just how to make us all go ‘awww’.
The latest act of kindness from T-Swizzle is this – she reportedly said no to the whopping sum of $2million to perform at a wedding, and chose instead to play at the christening of her godson, actress Jaime King’s son Leo, for free.
According to the Sunday Express, Taylor was offered the money by an unknown millionaire, but decided her friendship commitments had to come first. Well, you can’t put a price on the #squad!
A guest who attended the christening told the newspaper: ‘Taylor arrived with her own backing tracks and belted out some of her biggest hits, including Love Story, I Knew You Were Trouble and Red. You have to admire her for putting friendship ahead of financial considerations. She said no to a small fortune so she could bring happiness to a good friend.’
We’re going to go out on a limb here and say that Taylor probably doesn’t need the extra cash – but plenty of celebs in her position would probably have snapped it up anyway.
It’s not the first time Taylor’s said no to cash – last year, she donated all the proceeds from her single Welcome to New York to schools in New York City.
It’s no secret how much she loves Jaime King’s little one, either – she posted adorable pics on her Instagram recently of her meeting little Leo – Jaime’s son with her husband, film director Kyle Newman – for the first time.
Serious kudos to Taylor Swift for being a genuinely good pal – wonder if she’d perform at our party for free?
