New group admire 1D

The Vamps are in awe of One Direction.

Bradley Simpson, 18, believes that his group’s renditions of the boys’ songs has helped them create a strong base of admirers.

‘I mean, we covered a lot of their stuff early on, like a year ago, and we were lucky to get hits from their covers,’ says Bradley.

‘So I mean we’ve kind of built our fans through that, so it’s great for us.’

And drummer Tristan Evans reckons Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik‘s work ethic is something to look up to.

‘They work really hard and deserve every success they get,’ he tells ITN.

‘They inspire us with their music.’

The Vamps‘ debut single Can We Dance – co-written by Bruno Mars – is out on 30 September 2013.
