Oooh-er! The X Factor’s Stevi Ritchie is getting serious about looking for love...
The X Factor contestant, Stevi Ritchie, is clearly NOT a fan of the single life.
The 34-year-old has been on a speed-dating night in Richmond, London, in a bid to meet a potential girlfriend. Yikes – we hope his former competition, Chloe-Jasmine Whichello, doesn’t get too jealous; the pair were reportedly dating whilst they lived in The X Factor house together.
Stevi, who has a seven-year-old daughter from a previous relationship, has been a single pringle for 18 months after splitting from his ex-fiance last year.
The event, hosted by Speed Dating London, allowed Stevi, and other like-minded singles, between 10 and 20 face-to-face four-minute dates.
Wow, Stevi was a busy, busy man!
Before it all began, Speed Dating London posted a tweet saying: ‘Excited to have @THESTEVIRITCHIE Speed Dating tonight!’
This was met by replies of ‘best of luck to you Stevi‘, ‘WTF’ and ‘omg lol’.
So, if Stevi did meet his lady-to-be, what can she expect from a date with the singer?
‘I won’t just use her for a one-night-stand. I’m not into that. If I walk her back to the door it’s just a bit of a fondle for the keys and then a bit of a kiss,’ admitted Stevi, adding: ‘I’ll say goodnight; trip down the stairs. That’s good enough for me!’
The X Factor hopeful also believes a relationship should be a two-way thing. ‘At my age, I don’t want to do all the chasing. It’s 50/50 all the way,’ said Stevi.
The former Pontins worker is just a softy at heart and spilled the beans on his previous heartbreak after being dumped by his ex-girlfriend.
‘She finished with me. I didn’t pay her enough attention. I was auditioning and going to the gym a lot,’ he admitted.
‘D’ya know what? It was probably my fault in a way, but then we argued and things fizzled out and then she ended it,’ added Stevi. Nawww.
Stevi‘s night of dates was a little different to his food-filled Monday evening. After being promised a meal at Harvester restaurant by mentor, Simon Cowell, the pair tucked into a £4.99 plate of grub at the popular eatery, watched on by adoring fans.
