Here's what The X Factor host Caroline Flack had to say about the freshly announced judging panel

The news of Nick Grimshaw and Rita Ora joining Simon and Cheryl on The X Factor judging panel has swept us up into a whirlwind of excitement that can only be compared to the 2008 Beyoncè/Alexandra Burke duet (you know, the one where she couldn’t stop crying).

And we’re not the only ones; when This Morning spoke to Caroline Flack about the big reveal today she was equally as eager as us for the new series.

Speaking over the phone to This Morning hosts Phillip Schofield and Amanda Holden, the shows new host said of the announcement ‘I think its absolutely brilliant. I think its young, fresh and relevant…I think this one big change will make it interesting again’

Grimmy certainly got the Flack seal of approval, ‘He knows what’s going on in music at the minute more than anyone else. He knows what sells, he knows what gets radio play and I think he’s also go a great sense of humour… I think he’s going to be brilliant’.

There was no favouritism from Caroline either, who then went on to say ‘Rita is one of the biggest selling artists. She’s lovely, she’s been on the show before (Rita was a guest judge back in 2012), she knows it and she loves it which is great.’ Rita will definitely be setting her alarm eagerly for the first day on the job, the excited singer tweeted this…

During the show Amanda also read aloud a text from the man behind the magic Simon Cowell, which read ‘I’m very happy. They all agreed because of their excitement for the show and how much they want to find someone special. Nobody has signed up for the money, it was passion for being on The X Factor.’

The final component to this years dream team, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, is not only excited to bring her special brand of Geordie charm back to the show but also to get the new format into action- ‘the addition of Rita and Grimmy along with some interesting changes we’ve made has refocused us to do what we do best, finding talent and making stars. I cannot wait to get started!’.
