Hollywood star denies claims made by Andrew Morton

Tom Cruise has been named 2nd in command of the cult of Scientology in a new unauthorised biography.

Andrew Morton claims Tom, 45, is deputy to Scientology world leader David Miscavige and that the actor and new wife Katie Holmes even took the head honcho on honeymoon.

Tom’s relationships with ex-wife Nicole Kidman, 40, and former girlfriend Penelope Cruz are said to have broken down because they were non-believers.

Andrew – who was Princess Diana’s biographer – even makes the wild suggestion that sperm of Scientology founder L Ron Hubbard [died 1986] was used to conceive Tom and Katie’s daughter Suri, 1.

Tom Cruise: An Unauthorised Biography alleges Tom’s career has been shaped to promote Scientology and that his celeb status is used to attract other A-listers like David Beckham, 32, and wife Victoria, 33.

Tom has denied the claims through his lawyer Bert Fields and he won’t be buying a copy of the book.

‘He has no intention of reading it,’ insists Bert. ‘He’s very, very busy with a lot of things right now. He has been told about it and naturally he knows there are a bunch of lies about him.

‘It’s a boring, poorly researched book by a man who never talked to anyone involved in Tom Cruise’s life or anyone close to him.

‘Tom is not second in command, he is a public scientologist and a great guy. We are seriously considering legal action and will wait to see the public reaction.

The book will not be published in England.
