The former reality star will officially be a host on the sister show
It’s been a steadily growing rumour ever since her departure from the Loose Women panel was revealed a few weeks ago, and now Vicky Pattison‘s brand new gig has been CONFIRMED: she’ll be a host on I’m A Celebrity‘s all-new sister show!
After many whispers, it has finally revealed that former Geordie Shore star Vicky will be expanding her presenting skills on the familiar homeground of the Aussie jungle.
The reigning Queen of the Jungle will be spearheading new programme I’m A Celebrity: Extra Camp on ITV2, along with Joe Swash, Chris Ramsey and Stacey Solomon. Seeing as Joe and Stacey are ex-winners themselves, it looks as if Vick’ll definitely be in great company!
In comparison to the previous spin-off show, …Get Me Out Of Here Now, Extra Camp promises to have an even more exclusive insight into the daily goings on of the jungle, as well as unseen clips, interviews and the presenters themselves facing their fears in some Bushtucker trials of their own. (Hopefully not too many spider-based ones, Ferne McCann style…)
Though comedian Chris is the only host not to have competed in the tropic-based competition, he’s a big fan: ‘I watch and talk about it every year, so it will be a delight to do it as a job this year in Australia! And it’s an absolute bonus that I won’t have to taste Kangaroo anus.’
Always a plus. And of course, Vicky is overjoyed to be taking on this new role. ‘I can’t wait to work alongside Chris, Joe and Stacey, who are all brilliant,’ the 28-year-old said in an official statement.
‘I’m dying to get back in the jungle and hopefully they’ll still let me give some of the trials a go! We can’t let the camp mates have all the fun now can we?!’
With Ant and Dec resuming their usual positions as presenters of the main show, this is already looking to be a cracking series. Who else is super excited for it all to kick off? Let us know your thoughts @CelebsNow!
