The Beckhams are set to renew their vows in an intimate ceremony
Pal Gordon Ramsay will prepare a special meal for close family and friends at their rented London home and then the Beckhams will read poems to each other, expressing their love in front of kids Brooklyn, 14, Romeo, 10, Cruz, eight, and Harper, 20 months.
A source tells us: ‘Victoria made a big sacrifice giving up the life she loved in LA so that David could play in Paris.
‘He wants to show her how grateful he is and she wants him to prove how much they still love each other.’
David, 37, and Victoria, 38, previously renewed their vows in March 2006, a year after Cruz was born.
But why do a couple who’ve been together since 1997 feel the need to do so?
Psychologist Dr Amy Dodd, of perspectivepsychology.co.uk, tells Now: ‘It’s a way of solidifying a commitment and celebrating the fact they’ve made it so far.
‘It can come after allegations of infidelity – it’s a way of reaffirming love and starting afresh.
‘It can also strengthen a relationship in the face of any reminders of past trouble and often takes place because both partners are seeking reassurance.
‘They’re asking each other: “Do you still love me as much as you did?”
‘It may be that the ceremony is borne of a need to prove to others and themselves that the relationship’s valid.’
With Gordon cooking and Becks getting all romantic, we reckon it’ll be one amazing party, too!
