David enjoys 'simple things' in London

David Beckham returned to his roots when he moved to London earlier this year with Victoria and the children.

The ex-footballer, who left the capital as a teenager, likes being close to relatives in his home city – and plans to pop in.

Becks, 38, says: [I’m most looking forward to] the simple things like going round to my grandma’s, going round to my mum and dad’s house, seeing my sisters – the normal things that I haven’t been able to do since I moved away from London when I was 15 years old.

It’s been quite a while so it’s the simple things like popping round for a cup of tea.’

David, who announced his retirement from football in May, is also enjoying spending time at home with wife Victoria and their four kids Brooklyn, 14, Romeo, 10, Cruz, 8, and Harper Seven, 2.

The doting dad admits that his sons usually get their way when it comes to what they watch on TV.

I’m in control of the remote control unless one of the boys is in the living room, then that’s a different story,’ David tells Sky Sports.

But they know Daddy is in control of the remote!’
