Actress Joanne has a church wedding in front of Downton Abbey co-stars

Joanne Froggatt has married long-term partner James Cannon in a traditional church ceremony.

Joanne, 32 – who plays housemaid Anna Bates in Downton Abbey – wed IT director James last weekend in front of a number of her cast mates from the hit ITV show.

‘We get along like a house on fire,’ she revealed before the wedding. ‘There’s definitely been a few nights on the town with a bit of dancing involved.’

The busy actress had to squeeze her nuptials into her hectic schedule – she is now busy filming upcoming movie Filth with James McAvoy. But she’s delighted to have so much work.

‘This is what you hope for, really – you’ve just got to take these
times and enjoy them and grasp them by the horns and go with it because
there will be quiet times again in the future,’ Joanne tells People.

‘I’m enjoying every minute of it at the moment.’
