As Cheryl, Rita, Grimmy and Simon arrive for auditions in London, it’s looking like this year’s X Factor is going to be full of fun and the best one yet
Although the X Factor auditions got off to an unfortunate start with the devastating news that Simon Cowell’s mum had passed away at the age of 89, the 55-year-old music mogul seems to be doing his mum proud and enjoying his time on what he said was her favourite TV show.
And if yesterday’s first auditions in London are anything to go by, then we’re in for a treat this year for everyone’s favourite talent show.
New judge Nick Grimshaw tweeted about some unexpected playground behavior that stopped filming.
A food fight on The X Factor?! Blimey! Oh, and of course Simon started it. He may seem like the most sensible one, but he’s not fooling us!
We’re sure the judges ended up wearing some of that ice-cream on themselves, which may have inspired Cheryl’s fashion choice for Thursday’s second day of auditions in the capital. Looking like the prettiest Bassett All Sorts we ever did see, this year’s fashion choices look like the most fun we’ve seen in a while – and we haven’t even gotten to the live shows yet!
While Cheryl looked sweet as candy, newbie judge Rita Ora went for a more explosive outfit, looking like a firework. Maybe she’d been listening to some Katy Perry while getting ready – that’s how we roll too Rita!
And it’s not just the judges. Presenter Caroline Flack arrived at the auditions in fits of giggles – probably because her co-host Olly Murs was being his usual cheeky chappy self and causing mischief and pulling faces. He wasn’t the only one either – we see you there Cheryl sticking out your tongue!
Oh, and to top it all off, there seems to be some kind of party going on on the Xtra Factor side of things, with ITV2 host Rochelle Humes sporting a party hat – the accessory of the season didn’t you know?
But one thing we desperately want to know the answer to though, is why fellow co-host of the Xtra Factor seemed to have aged about 30 years?! Although we’re not sure why Melvin Odoom was dressed up as what we assume he’ll look like as a granddad, we CANNOT wait to watch and find out!
And any good party worth it’s salt always has jelly and ice-cream, so you better keep an eye on Simon, otherwise we’ll have another messy fight on our hands! (And our faces)
See how the judging panel of the X Factor has changed over it’s 12 years…
