It's not rare for a show to be accused, it is rare that it's happened so quickly...

The X Factor has once again been hit with fixing allegations after rumours of Sinitta has used her friendship with Simon Cowell to push an act through to the judge’s house stage.

The 80s singer is being accused of helping brothers Josh and Kyle Brooks – who are best known as The Brooks – skip their way through to the penultimate stage of the competition. ITV bosses have since denied the allegation, but now more acts are angrily wondering if their results are already decided.

A source told The Mirror: ‘This absolutely stinks. Some acts have said “Why bother when it’s clearly a fix?”’

The band of brothers were also allegedly seen speaking privately to an executive producers, with rumours that they were developing ‘major attitude problems’.

The source added: ‘The Brooks were walking around muttering to other acts, asking if they’d had “the talk” with the execs too – almost as if to see who else may bee being looked after by the show in the same way.

‘How a band clearly linked to Sinitta can behave so arrogantly, knowing that their fate is already guaranteed, is a massive kick in the face to all the other acts.’

However, The X Factor bosses have firmly denied all claims of special treatment. A spokesperson said to the paper: ‘The Brooks have received no special treatment and have not been guaranteed a place in the competition.

‘Neither have there been any problems raised about their attitude. All acts are auditioned on the merit of their performances and nothing else.’

Yikes, this is record speed for the fix allegations. The turnover for ‘fix’ scandals are getting quicker by the day. We’ll have to wait and see if they really DO deserve their place in the Judge’s House.
