Singer thinks 1D's success is 'crazy'
The former Pussycat Doll was amazed by the attention the lads got when they attended the New York screening of Men In Black 3 in May.
‘It’s totally weird seeing One Direction as the heartthrobs of the nation,’ says Nicole, 34.
‘I had my Men In Black movie premiere and they practically stole the show from me. I was like, “Excuse me, I’m in the movie, scoot over, thank you”.
‘I had to remind them.’
Nicole, who has joined The X Factor panel this year in place of Kelly Rowland, was previously a guest judge on the show in 2010 and actually put the One Direction boys together after they all auditioned as solo artists.
‘Those little buggers, I haven’t received flowers from them yet!’ Nicole tells The People.
‘I’m still waiting, it’s crazy to see how massive they all are. I don’t know if we can find another One Direction [on The X Factor]. That was really crazy, I’m still blown away by it.
‘They performed at the Olympics, I’m like, “What is happening, this is crazy”. I’m really happy for them and all of their success.’
