Perrie Edwards steps out in New York after breaking down on stage with Little Mix
But Perrie – who split from fiancé Zayn Malik just a few weeks ago – looks to have already put the incident behind her if her latest public appearance is anything to go by.
The 22-year-old star sent out a positive message to the world by flashing a big smile when she and group headed for a radio appearance in New York yesterday and cutely blew kisses to waiting fans.
Pez looked totally gorgeous too in a floaty patterned dress and striking black heels.
With that huge grin on her face, Perrie definitely looked much happier than she did on Wednesday evening when she cried during a cappella performance of emotional new Little Mix track The End at an AOL event in the US.
Perrie was overcome as she tried to sing her line ‘no one can love you, the way I used to do’ and had to stop to have a bit of a cry – bless!
Little Mix bandmates Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall and Jesy Nelson were quick to rally round and comfort the newly-single star and the girls have proved to be a brilliant source of support during this difficult time for Perrie.
During a chat with Elvis Duran on The Z100 Morning Show yesterday, Perrie paid tribute to the ladies and it sounds like they’re really helping her following her shock break-up from Zayn, 22, earlier this month.
‘We know that when girls stick together, we literally are a force to be reckoned with,’ said Perrie.
‘We know that it’s more important to have each other than anything else. We never even argue.
‘Like last night, we’ve been on this trip in America, we live in each other’s pocket, you’d think we’d be sick of each other, but no! We wanted to have a sleepover last night! It’s just nice.’
Big smiles AND girly sleepovers? We think this is pretty good proof that Perrie is already moving on.
