The Malik's have taken to Instagram to share touching tributes
There’s heartbreaking news for Zayn Malik and his family after it was revealed his five-year-old cousin, who was battling a brain tumour, has sadly died.
After passing away on Tuesday morning (28th March), the former One Direction star’s family took to social media to pay tribute to Arshiya Malik with some tear-jerking posts.
Arshiya’s mum, Zileh Malik was the first to share a picture of her daughter laughing along with the caption: ‘An angel wrote in the book of life my baby’s date of birth, then whispered as she closed the book.. ‘Too beautiful for earth’ R.I.P baby doll..’
Zayn’s youngest sister, Waliyha also took to Instagram where she posted an adorable snap of her cousin with a cheeky grin, next to the touching words: ‘Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. Rest is peace you beautiful princess, may Allah grant you the highest rank of Jannah’.
And despite 24-year-old Zayn not commenting on the heartbreaking news as of yet, his loyal fans have been quick to share their condolences and hundreds have taken to Twitter to start the hashtag RIPArshiya.
One wrote: ‘My Thoughts and prayers are with Malik family so sad about this she was so small and pretty
#RIPArshiya’, while another added: ‘ #RIPArshiya sending my love to this little angel. Hopefully shes placed in a good place’.
A third well-wisher added: ‘Sending lots of love to the Malik family. We’re so sorry for your loss
#RIPArshiya’ while a fourth added: ‘So sorry for your loss Zayn, your cousin is a beautiful angel now, please stay strong babe @Zaynmalik #RIPArshiya.’
Here at Now we’re sending our love to Zayn and the whole family at this terrible time.
